Research Overview
Healthcare and long-term care services are highly personalized services that are closely intertwined with people¡¯s lives. At the same time, as welfare services provided by the government, they involve significant amounts of public funding. My research analyzes various issues addressed as ¡°healthcare and long-term care challenges¡± both domestically and internationally, taking into account the economic characteristics underlying the demand for and supply of these services. In particular, I conduct empirical analyses and offer recommendations regarding the location of healthcare and long-term care services within Japanese communities.
