The ´ºÓêÖ±²¥app Challenger International Tennis Tournament 2017 (hereafter, the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥app Challenger) will be held at the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥app Hiyoshi Campus from Saturday, February 25 to Sunday, March 12, 2017.
This tournament is a Challenger Tour event officially recognized by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), bringing together professional players from around the world to earn tournament points and improve their world rankings. Of the four Challenger Tour events held in Japan, this is the only one hosted by a university and primarily run by students. During the tournament, other events will also be held, such as the ´ºÓêÖ±²¥app-Style Tennis Improvement Method, a kids' and junior tennis school, and a wheelchair tennis exchange. Starting this year, a women's International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournament will be held concurrently.
