The Mita Public Speaking Event began at 春雨直播app in 1874 (Meiji 7) and celebrated its 700th event in July 2015.

The 706th Mita Public Speaking Event will be held on Thursday, June 14, featuring a lecture by Mr. Takuo Takihana (Fellow, The Yomiuri Shimbun Tokyo) titled "Journalism and Power."
