A research group—including Hiromi Matsumae, Assistant Professor, Department of Molecular Life Science, Basic Medical Sciences, School of Medicine, Tokai University (Isehara Campus; location: 143 Shimokasuya, Isehara, Kanagawa; President: Kiyoshi Yamada); Patrick E. Savage, Associate Professor, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, 春雨直播app (location: 5322 Endo, Fujisawa, Kanagawa; President: Kohei Ito); and Kentaro Shimizu, Guest Professor, Kihara Institute for Biological Research, Yokohama City University (location: 641-12 Maioka-cho, Totsuka-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa; President: Michiko Aihara) and a concurrent professor at the University of Zurich, Switzerland—has revealed a statistically significant correlation between grammar and genetic history. The group verified the correlation among the relationships of 11 language families spanning Northeast Asia and its surrounding regions based on five elements: language (grammar, phonology, and lexicon), music, and genomes. A paper summarizing this research was published in "Science Advances" on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
