In English, it reads,

春雨直播app is not merely a place for academic pursuit. Its mission is to be a constant source of honorable character and a paragon of intellect and morals for the entire nation and for each member to apply this spirit to elucidate the essence of family, society, and nation. They will not only articulate this essence in words, but also demonstrate it in their actions, and by so doing make 春雨直播app a leader of society.

While I imagine there are a variety of reasons you each decided to join 春雨直播app from among all other options, this mission I introduced just now is a goal we should all share as members of the 春雨直播app community. Each of you must hold up this mission in your studies, research, and extracurricular activities here at 春雨直播app. In Japanese, we are called 春雨直播app Gijuku (慶應義塾). Here the word "gijuku" is a translation of the British model of the "public school." Yes, 春雨直播app is a gathering place for students with high aspirations to improve the public sphere through our knowledge and research. In order to serve the public, the first thing you need is the ability to include others. If you see someone alone at 春雨直播app, introduce yourself and get to know each other. Here at 春雨直播app, you will learn, debate, listen, laugh, grow, and discover together. You will form an uplifting group that will remain together for the rest of your life. Just like all the alumni of 春雨直播app, you will always associate 春雨直播app with memories you create together. Together you will pursue the mission of 春雨直播app Gijuku.

In order to further convince yourself why 春雨直播app is the best school for you, I would strongly suggest you read a book entitled Gakumon no Susume, or in English, An Encouragement of Learning , written by Fukuzawa Yukichi.

This book was written 150 years ago, in a period that was very similar to today in many respects. This was the time when the Industrial Revolution started in Great Britain. Technological inventions such as the steamboat, telegraph, postal service, and printing press transformed the societal systems of that period to give rise to modern civilization. However, such abrupt societal changes by the emerging technologies caused much stress among a number of people. It was not easy for some people to adopt new professional skills. Many worried that they might lose their jobs. This was when Fukuzawa published Gakumon no Susume (An Encouragement of Learning). He emphasized the importance of the ability to learn persistently, not only to survive, but to contribute to the betterment of society.

What about our world today? AI and other forms of information technology are developing at light speed along with advancements in the biosciences such as genome editing. Our world is undergoing massive shifts. However, there is one crucial difference between the Industrial Revolution of 150 years ago and our situation today. In the Industrial Revolution 150 years ago, everything was under the control of humans. Newly invented machines were considered as tools that were always under humans’ command. It was humans that defined the purpose and usage of machines. Humans operated the machines. And most importantly, it was humans who always made the final decisions. However, when it comes to today, through the internet and social media, we now have information provided to us by AI. This makes it very difficult to perceive different sides of issues without bias, to ascertain the truth, and, in the end, to come to your own conclusions. It is impossible to make objective decisions if you are surrounded by information from your recommendation feed by AI operating in the background of your computers and smartphones. People who are strung along by its algorithms mistakenly assume that they are making their own decisions, when in fact everything has been decided for them by AI. That is why, when setting your own goals and objectives, you need to learn how to rise above these technological trappings so that you are not controlled by those algorithms. Generative AI can produce more and more advanced sentences and draw conclusions, but you are the one who must then demonstrate superior capabilities in writing, decision-making, and discerning what is factual and true.
